Boundary Lines for Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools

The New High School Boundaries in Bozeman

For the first time in Bozeman, we are looking at high school boundaries and which neighborhoods will feed in to which high school. If you are curious about which school you’re house will feed in to or if you’re thinking about purchasing and have an opinion on which school you’d like your kids to attend then hopefully this will help you out.

About the Schools

Gallatin High School (GHS) is set to open in the Fall of 2020 with a population that is projected to be about 1,500, according to the district preliminary numbers. GHS is being constructed at Cottonwood and Durston.

Bozeman High School is the second oldest high school in the state of Montana and has been open since 1877. BHS is located on Main Street between 19th and 7th at 205 N 11th Ave, Bozeman, MT 59715.

Transition Process

According to the district website the committee reached a consensus that when GHS opens all seniors will remain and graduate from BHS and grades 9-11 will split between the two schools and all 11th-grade students that will start at GHS in the Fall of 2020 will be the first graduating class of GHS.

School Boundaries

The current boundaries for the school are displayed in a map below, however, there has been some discussion that the boundaries may shift slightly as development increases in certain areas. If you are wanting the latest boundary information visit this link here
