One of my favorite things about Bozeman is the proximity to some of the best skiing in the rocky mountains. The other day we were blessed with 15″ of fresh snow and as you can see the clouds cleared just in time for opening!
You can ask any local in town there is nothing like a powder day and bluebird skies here in Montana.
Bridger Bowl is 15 miles from downtown Bozeman and a sure favorite to the locals here. You can also make about a 45min drive to Big Sky to experience some of the biggest skiing in North America. During the fall of 2013 Big Sky (Boyne Resorts) acquired Moonlight Basin to make it the largest ski resort in N. America
If you prefer something a little more adventurous you can venture out into the many backcountry areas that are only minutes from downtown. Some of my favorites are going to Hyalite reservoir, Mt. Blackmore, Mt. Ellis, and Fairy Lake.
