Now that it is Summer we have a plethora of options for activities to enjoy around Bozeman. One of our favorites is going to the Bozeman Art Walks. The art walks take place the second Friday of each month June-September, from 6-8 pm, in Downtown Bozeman on Main Street.
The art walks bring together the art communities and local business owners in this unique setting where everyone can shop local. We love this event because it gives us a great excuse to get out and stroll Main Street and stop into stores that we don’t always shop in.
What is so wonderful about the artists that participate in the art walks is that they are all local and they all create something different. You can find handmade jewelry from Fly Free Jewelry, sculptures, oil canvases, photography prints from adventure photographer Daniel Temme, and watercolor paintings by local artist Jim Howard, just to name a few!
If you aren’t planning on buying any art it is worth the stroll for the free hor-d’oeuvres, live music, and drinks. Just getting exposed to new artists or mediums may pay dividends years down the line as you decorate or furnish your dream home. Find inspiration, shop and explore downtown on these must-see nights!
If you’re interested in going to your first art walk, The Downtown Business Association’s website is a great resource for finding a map of the art walk as well as learning more about the artists that are on display this year!
